There are a lot of things to get done before you leave and one of them is making certain your car is safe and reliable before you go. That way you can avoid the hassles of dealing with a breakdown or finding a mechanic near your school. By following some basic automotive advice, all you college-bound students can make sure your car is road-worthy. Schedule an appointment to bring your vehicle in for a check-up well in advance of leaving. While it’s in the shop, have the oil and filter changed. During the appointment have the fuel and air filters replaced, the valves adjusted, spark plugs inspected/replaced, the tires rotated and balanced, and all the fluids topped off.
